Building Capacity and Expertise Through Partnership

  • 21st November 2019
  • 3:30pm - 4:30pm
  • Drawing Room

In this session, we will explore how Jersey Music Service have increased their capacity and expertise through partnership with Music Education Solutions® over a 3 year period. Based on a small island in the middle of the English Channel with stringent hiring policies for ‘off island’ candidates, and no higher education provision providing education or music graduates, Jersey Music Service has had to work creatively with outside organisations to achieve its aims, the most recent example of this being their partnership with MES. The session will give music hubs and services a range of ideas for how they might approach and work with commercial organisations to build capacity and expand expertise, in order to serve their local area more effectively, without losing their organisational identity.
